Terms & Conditions

For over 20 years Chapterhouse Theatre Company has been dedicated to bringing the experience of open-air theatre to beautiful venues up and down the country. As is the nature of performing outdoor theatre, where the stage, actors and audience are all uncovered, each experience and night of the tour is a unique experience, crafted by the different settings and weather conditions. We have performed in blazing heat, atmospheric rain and to the backdrop of glorious sunsets and dazzling night skies.

Outdoor theatre is a wonderful experience for audience members of all ages and, as such, we find it is always best to come prepared for all types of weather to ensure everyone is able to thoroughly enjoy the performances. As well as bringing your own rugs or low-backed seating* to ensure comfort throughout, other items we would suggest audience members consider bringing along include, but are not limited to: sun cream, sun hats, sunglasses, raincoats, rain hats and warm clothing, particularly for evening performances.

During our summer season Chapterhouse Theatre Company performs over 100 shows at different locations across the UK and Ireland and, whilst the vast majority of these performances go ahead unfortunately, on certain occasions, it is not possible for us to complete a performance due to weather. We will always try to go ahead with a performance, however in adverse weather conditions if both the company and the venue agree that going ahead with the performance would be a danger to both the audience and the performers, the show will not go ahead. Show cancellations will often not be made until a few hours before the performances scheduled start time so that we can ensure we have done everything possible to make sure that the show will go ahead. In the event of a cancellation due to the weather, all tickets are non-refundable but may be exchanged in accordance with our exchange policy which is outlined within our full terms and conditions.
