Richard Main

PRODUCER AND ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Under Richard’s ownership, Chapterhouse has toured significant historic venues and theatres throughout the UK, Europe, and China for over twenty years. His background is in event management and performance, having worked with and for companies ranging from The National Trust, English Heritage, Sony, and GlaxoSmithKline. Richard was a member of avant-garde/jazz band 4,000,000 Telephones, releasing several acclaimed records and touring the UK and Europe. In the 90s, he produced for the Lincoln Mystery Plays, the Lincoln Shakespeare Company, and numerous regional East Midlands music and theatre events.

In 1999 Chapterhouse was created specifically to tour Shakespearean productions, but it has grown to be one of the foremost classical literature touring companies in the UK.

John Maven

I.T. GURU

After training in IT and Administration, John joined the company in 2001, and has since become a valuable member of the office team. He currently designs the publicity material, turns the office PCs off and on again when they go wrong, and gets to be involved in all aspects of office admin. Away from work, he enjoys listening to an eclectic mix of music, watching films, reading science fiction, trawling the internet, League of Legends, football, and pondering the vastness of the universe. John is currently working hard at cultivating a beard, which has been described as ‘kingly’ by interested observers.

Andy Mullins

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Andy trained as an actor at the University of Glamorgan and The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since graduating, he has gone on to perform in a wide range of theatre, from performing Shakespeare at the National Theatre’s Watch This Space festival to playing the Pantomime Dame in several national seasonal tours. As well as performing, he has a strong interest in the production side of theatre. He has worked as a production manager for national tours and has also assistant directed for various productions over the years. He first worked for Chapterhouse in 2004, performing in their national tour of As You Like It, and is thrilled to now be part of the production team.

Roisin Waters

PRESS & MARKETING OFFICER

The newest edition to the Chapterhouse team, Roisin has recently returned to her hometown of Lincoln after working and studying in Falmouth, Cornwall. A fan of the arts since a young age, Roisin is excited to put her love of theatre into practice with a successful summer tour. When she’s not crafting press releases or organising her permanently messy desk, Roisin enjoys wild swimming, dressmaking, and losing herself in countless fantasy novels.

Daniel Hutchinson

ADMINISTRATION CO-ORDINATOR

Suffolk-born Daniel came to Lincoln in 2004 to read History & Politics at the University of Lincoln, eventually becoming President of the Students’ Union. He fell in love with the city and settled here. For 10 years he worked at an auction house as a researcher, valuer and auctioneer before joining Chapterhouse in 2021. He assists with many aspects of Chapterhouse administration to ensure the cogs keep turning.

Daniel has a myriad of interests outside of work: volunteer at the East Anglia Transport Museum since the age of 14, past presenter and producer of Say It With Music at Siren Radio, regular attendee of Edwardian and 1940s events across the country, devotee of classical music, amateur historian on railways and liners… the list goes on!

Daisy Lochhead

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Daisy joined Chapterhouse Theatre Company in May 2021 after 4 years of study in Events at Access Creative College in Lincoln. She most enjoys being able to visit and communicate with venues all over the country to prepare our tours throughout the year and working with colleagues in a great collaborative environment.

Daisy’s interests outside of the office include wildlife photography, record collecting and attending local gigs.

Katie Care

ASSISTANT TO THE PRODUCER

Katie joined Chapterhouse after studying English, Drama, and the Arts at Clare College, University of Cambridge. During her time as a student, Katie stage-managed and acted in theatre productions at the ADC Theatre and venues across the city. As well as touring across the globe as a mezzo soprano with choirs from Cambridge and Lincoln, she worked with Cambridge University Opera Society as a singer, designer, and director. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time in nature and the pub. She is very excited to help organise Chapterhouse’s summer season and put her love of theatre, music, and touring into action!
